Welcome...

Hello, all! I'm so glad you are here and I can't tell you how much it means to me that you've stopped by to see what we have in store for you! Being a small company, each and every customer means the world to us!

I am starting this blog for several reasons. I hope that this blog helps our customers feel connected. When you talk to me, I want you to feel like you know me just like you do at the local stores you shop with. Some days I will post things that are going on in the store - new arrivals, sales, events, etc. Other days, it may be a little more on the personal level - maybe a story about my kids or family.

But...before we start any of that, I want to give you a little information about myself. Who I am. Where I came from. Why I'm here. So...here's my story.

My name is Anna Williams. I was born and raised in Benton, AR where I still live to this day. I love it here. It's home to me and hopefully it always will be. I come from a rather large family. Both my parents have 2 siblings each and we are ALL very close. My parents divorced when I was 2 and after lots of tough times, they are now better friends than ever. I love it that way! Family events are never awkward and it isn't abnormal for my Mom to be at family functions for my Dad's side. Some think that is strange, but that is a way of life for me. FAMILY is the most important thing in the world to me!

On May 17, 2008, I married my sweetheart. Michael is the most loving, supportive and giving man I know. There have been times that I would have given up on Chasing Emmy, if it weren't for him. He knows this is a dream of mine and he does everything he can to make it come true!

On February 27, 2009, Michael and I welcomed our first born into the world. Gage Andrew has lightened our world and made every day so much fun! He is such a fun-loving child and definitely the most soft-hearted of the family. He gets that from his Daddy and I wouldn't change it for anything! He is a Momma's boy to the core, but he certainly adores his Daddy too!

On January 11, 2012, our little Emerson Kate made her appearance. The second I laid eyes on her, I knew she was going to give me a run for my money. She is FULL of personality and the life of the party! She loves to get dressed, wear jewelry and her shoes are her favorite thing in this whole world. She's 100% GIRL and doesn't mind you knowing it!

Emerson has been my inspiration for CHASING EMMY! At only a couple months old, I knew that if I wasn't careful,  I would be spending every penny I made dressing her ;) I love my little man, just as much, but dressing him just isn't the same. You know?

I have always dreamed of owning a boutique. I always thought I wanted to sale women's clothes, but it didn't take long to realize that children's clothes were more fun...and more necessary! A little over a year ago, I opened the boutique, as a small addition to a local business. It was the perfect opportunity for me to own a Children's Boutique and still work at my normal job, as well. I started out carrying inexpensive grab-and-go type things. I carried a few clothing lines, but I still wasn't able to get my hands on the things that I really wanted. I was at my first location for a few months and realized that I needed to make a move for myself and Chasing Emmy. Making that move was the best decision I ever made. Within just a few months, Chasing Emmy had grown quite a bit, and  I was able to start carrying some of my personal favorites: Livie & Luca, Persnickety, Swanky Baby Vintage, and a few others.

As of now, Chasing Emmy is still growing. We have made a couple moves and changes, in hopes to serve our customers better. We have some wonderful things in store, and we hope each of you are as excited as we are to tell you the rest of our story!

Whether you are one of my loyal customers, a new customer, or just dropping by, I appreciate you so much! Chasing Emmy wouldn't be here if it weren't for each and every one of you, and for that, I am forever THANKFUL! If you have any questions or comments, PLEASE feel free to leave them in the comment box below and I will be sure to answer them!

Have a great day and we will talk again, soon!

XOXO, Anna
